This Privacy Policy explains how David Levine Digital (“we”, “us”) handles information across every app we publish and this website (davidlevinedigital.com). One policy covers the whole family of apps, so you only ever need to check one place.

The short version
- None of our apps ask you to create an account.
- Where an app saves data, it's kept on your own device, not on a server we run.
- We don't use advertising or third‑party analytics SDKs in any current app.
- There are no in‑app purchases in any current app.
- Each app is independent software and, unless stated otherwise, is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any brand, platform or organisation it may refer to.
Data we process, generally
Depending on which app you use and how you use it, the following may apply:
- On-device content — anything you type, save or import (recipes, list items, favourites and similar) is stored locally on your device using standard on-device storage. We don't upload it to a server we control, because our apps don't operate a cloud account or sync service in their current builds. Apple may include some app data in a full device backup according to its own system settings; that's outside our control and isn't the same as an in-app cloud sync.
- Content you choose to share or paste — if an app has a share extension or a paste/add field, whatever you share or type is processed on your device (and, where noted below, sent to fetch a public preview) in order to build what you asked for.
- Public web data — some apps may fetch publicly available information from the open web (for example a link's public preview, or a public sports data feed) to fill in content for you. That request goes to the site or service being read, not to a server we run.
- App updates — we may use Expo's update service to deliver optional over‑the‑air updates to an app. Expo and Apple may process standard technical data needed to deliver those updates.
- Emails you send us — if you email any address on this site, we process the content of that message in order to reply, and keep it only as long as needed to handle your enquiry.
- Technical data — Apple, Expo, and our hosting provider may process standard technical logs as part of delivering their services. We don't run our own advertising tracker on this site.
How we use information
- To provide the specific feature you're using in the app (turning content into a cook sheet, building a list, showing fixtures and results, and so on).
- To store and display what you've saved, on your device.
- To respond to support or feedback emails.
- To operate, secure and improve our apps and this website, including delivering updates.
Lawful basis (UK GDPR)
Where UK data protection law applies, we rely on: performing the service you've asked the app to do; our legitimate interests in running reliable, simple utility apps; and, where required, compliance with the law. If a future feature needs your consent, we'll ask clearly in the app before switching it on.
Sharing
We don't sell your personal information. Data may pass through:
- Apple — for App Store distribution.
- Expo / our hosting provider — for app updates and hosting this website.
- Email providers — if you contact us by email.
Retention
Content saved in an app stays on your device until you delete it, clear the app's data, or uninstall it. Because none of our apps run a cloud backup of that content, we can't restore it after uninstall. Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any related legal obligations.
Children
Our apps are general-purpose utilities and none are directed at children under 13. Please don't use any of our apps to submit personal information about a child.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law (including UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to certain processing, and to data portability where it applies. Because most content lives only on your device, many of these are handled simply by editing or deleting things in the app, or uninstalling it. For anything else, email hello@davidlevinedigital.com.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled personal data, contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do, and material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, noted in the affected app.

Cook This Tonight
Turns recipe content you provide — by paste, share sheet, or a link you choose to open — into a cook sheet stored on your device. When you share a link, the app may read that page's public preview metadata (title, description, image) — the same class of data messaging apps and Apple Notes use for link cards. It does not log into Instagram or use private APIs, and is not affiliated with Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc., or any recipe publisher. Get This
A standalone, on-device shopping list. You can add items with Siri or Shortcuts, and, if you also use Cook This Tonight, send a recipe's ingredients across into their own section on your list. No account is required. Contact: hello@davidlevinedigital.com · Support: support@davidlevinedigital.com.
The Second Tier
Shows Championship football fixtures, results and the league table. Live scores and fixture data are drawn from a public sports data source, not from any account of yours. The app can send you match alerts for a club you choose to favourite, which is stored on your device.
